vacation. prototype.
I’m behind on posts because I went on vacation last week. Before I left Tom and I raced to get the prototype running. It runs, but it’s jenky. The code is all in place, but the lights collide and come loose. Today, trying to get back into working, I built one of the bars out of metal and it seems very promising.
I need to implement some wire management. Perhaps if I replace the wire and use a lot of it I can be more flexible with where I place the inverters. I ran a test today to see if the shaking of the servos was transimitted through the circuitry. I lit up a few lights on a separate circuit, even plugging in the power supply to a different outlet then that of the servos. They still shake! I took some foil from brian’s bagel and wrapped it around various components of the servos and it seems to make a difference, the servos shake at a different frequency, but it doesn’t fix the problem. I think I’m just going to forget about it, and if I can get ahold of some window screen I’ll try wrapping it around things. What also seems to make a difference is to ground the aluminum bar that the servo sits on. Not sure why that is.
